Appellee Morgan Services, Inc., brought this action under ? 301 of the Labor Management Relations Act, 29 U.S.C. ? 185, to vacate an arbitration award ordering the reinstatement of an employee who had been discharged for insubordination. The district court entered judgment for Morgan Services on the ground that the arbitrator had exceeded his authority by improperly modifying the Companys sanction for the employees misconduct. The defendant, Local 323, Chicago and Central States Joint Board, Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union, AFL-CIO, appeals. This court has jurisdiction under 29 U.S.C. ? 185 and 28 U.S.C. ? 1291. We affirm.
